Great Place to Work Institute just published its 4th annual “25 Best Multinational Workplaces” ranking. It is based on a survey among more than 6,200 companies from 50 countries. In order to be accepted, companies must apply and have appeared on at least 5 national Best Workplaces lists. As the methodology has not been changed, a detailed assessment of the 2013 edition of the ranking can be found in our Rated Ranking.
Looking at this year’s results, the positions one to three are the same as last year: Google tops the list, followed by SAS and the data storage and management solutions company NetApp.
Companies that have their headquarters in the US clearly dominate the 2014 ranking. Only seven companies in the top 25 are headquartered outside the US: in Peru, Canada, Spain, Germany, France and the UK.
When it comes to industries, 40% of the top 25 companies operate in Information Technology & Telecommunications followed by 28% in Manufacturing & Production.
