Fortune Magazine in cooperation with Great Place to Work Institute just released the 2015 edition of its annual “Best Companies to Work for” ranking. When it comes to methodology they stick to the tried and trusted and do not change their approach for another year. For an in-depth assessment of the methodology please see our Rated Ranking of the 2014 ranking.
Google can defend the pole position for the sixth year in a row and remains the best company to work for. The Boston Consulting Group rises one rank and is on #2. Insurance company Acuity makes its debut in the ranking and directly makes it to the third rank. The other two companies in the top five are SAS Institute (#2 in 2014) and insurance company Robert W. Baird (#9 in 2014).
As in previous years the ranking is clearly dominated by US companies. Whereas last year, some companies from other countries (e.g. Allianz and Mercedes-Benz) made it in the ranking, the only non-US company is the Canadian Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts. It should be considered to rename the ranking to “100 Best US companies to work for”.
